Living room blinds - vertical lamellae for your home
In the living room a pleasant and variable design of light is particularly important. Here, the entire family- and social life takes place. People meet for dining, chatting with family and friends, playing games or relaxing, parties are given and visitors welcomed and of course, comfortable hours of reading, watching TV or listening to music are spent on the couch. Most often it is the largest room of the house or flat and therefore has the largest windows whose decoration is decisive for the entire atmosphere of the room.
No matter if a large window front, high windows, wide windows or several small ones lighten your room, vertical blinds master every kind of challenge. They can be designed variably regarding width or height, even as slope or arc shaped blinds. They can furthermore be used in combination with other window decorations such as panel curtains, roller blinds or pleats.
The appearance of beautiful vertical blinds is emphasized best if they cover the entire window wall from floor to ceiling. Then not only the intensity of light can be controlled better and spread more generously but the design can show its beauty in an adequate way as well. In order to prevent particularly large window surfaces from appearing too boring, unique office blinds can be created by mixing lamellae of different colours or patterns. Even more distinct are digitally printed vertical blinds creating a giant picture when closed.
Vertical blinds for the living area should always preserve a certain transparency. This can be achieved by opened or slope directed lamella or by fabric qualities which do not hinder you having a look outside even when they are closed. Therefore subtly patterned lamellae whose design is only highlighted by the entering daylight are very suitable. Transparent patterns and structures are worked into the lamellae by means of laser-cut or burn technology or are created by a certain weaving technique.
Particularly pleasant are fabrics in which the textile structure itself is the centre of attention. Coarse fabrics in resembling linen or shining cloths in crush design appear cosy and homely. Denser suede or leather imitations give the room a romantic air and fine fabric weaves in with natural wood or bamboo to convert the room into a relaxing oasis.
When choosing the colour one can adapt it to the colour of the wall to continue it on the window or one can achieve contrast with the bedroom blinds. Single lamellae in certain colours, e.g. those of the couch or the carpet, can adapt the colour line of the room within the blinds, completing the living room image and at the same time loosen the structure of the window front. The freedom in design is boundless. Even if completely mounted single lamellae can still be easily exchanged, replaced by other colours or combined differently. The independent suspension of each lamella eases their maintenance, even though the quality of the fabric is quite resistant to dirt right from the beginning.
